We want to recognize our students for being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, SAFE, and CARING! Our student advisory team sponsored our first school spirit event this year, Mismatch Day. Students were encouraged to wear mismatched clothing. They could wear stripes and spots or animal print with floral print. They could even just wear two different socks. It was game day and members of the Roosevelt football team, cheerleaders, and Coach Link stopped by Greenwood. The student athletes answered questions, read with students, and participated in classroom activities. The Greenwood students were excited to see the players and cheerleaders in uniform! In late March five 8th graders at Callanan Middle School – Zoe Zmolek, Claire Bissmeyer, Natalie Bennett and Grace & Ella Sundstrom – launched a project to provide free books for summer reading to all students at their elementary alma mater: Greenwood. United Way and Half Price Books came aboard as sponsors, and today the girls delivered nearly 900 book for every student at their old school. Click the headline to read and see more.
