Mismatch Day

We want to recognize our students for being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, SAFE, and CARING! Our student advisory team sponsored our first school spirit event this year, Mismatch Day. Students were encouraged to wear mismatched clothing. They could wear stripes and spots or animal print with floral print. They could even just wear two different socks. Roosevelt Readers

It was game day and members of the Roosevelt football team, cheerleaders, and Coach Link stopped by Greenwood. The student athletes answered questions, read with students, and participated in classroom activities. The Greenwood students were excited to see the players and cheerleaders in uniform! Breakfast Free For All Students This Year

We’re pleased to tell you every Des Moines Public Schools elementary student will now have access to breakfast at no cost to the students or their families. This expansion means almost every school in the district offers at least one no-cost meal option during the day. Greenwood Alums Return, Bearing Books

In late March five 8th graders at Callanan Middle School – Zoe Zmolek, Claire Bissmeyer, Natalie Bennett and Grace & Ella Sundstrom – launched a project to provide free books for summer reading to all students at their elementary alma mater: Greenwood.
